Connections is currently on hiatus.

We are currently taking a break from Connections, and many of us in the band will be pursuing music with other groups and in other settings.
We hold open the possibility of Connections coming back at some point in the future.

Until then, we are so greatful for where we've been:

-- Sixteen years.
-- 74 shows.
-- Thousands of listeners and fans.
-- $350,000 raised for worthy charities.
-- 50+ musicians rotating through our ranks.

Connections has always been "great music for  great cause," and we saw that time and again. Not only did you, our fans, have a great time at our shows, but through your continuing generosity, you truly helped those in need.

We've raised relief-funds for causes like tornadoes in Texas and earthquakes in Haiti. We've literally saved thousands of lives from the African malaria epidemic, as part of a global effort that has dramatically reduced malaria world-wide.

But, sixteen years is a long time to be in any band, much less one where everyone is a volunteer and working hard behind the scenes. So, it's time for a break.

We want to especially acknowledge the "Founding Members" of our band: Rusty King, Eric Folkerth, Paul Escamilla, Frank Rahm, Ann Willett, and John Fleming.
Brian McPherson was later added as a "Core Leader."

Without all of these people --their creativity, talent, and commitment-- Connections never would have succeeded.
We thank them all.

We thank the over 50 musicians who played with us, the churches and organizations who booked  and hosted us with meals, support, and volunteers. You have always been part of our team too.

Most of all, we thank all those thousands of folks who came out to a show, or contributed to the cause.

As the great Jackson Browne sings in the song we closed our final show with:

"People you've got the power over what we do
You can sit there and wait
Or you can pull us through
Come along, sing the song
You know that you can't go wrong"

Time and again, you have encouraged our band. So, we thank you.

Please DO stop by the website now and then, as we will absolutely share news of our upcoming separate musical adventures here. The best way to be sure you're notified about future shows is to get on our email list.

Our hearts are full. It's hard to fully describe just how much fun we have playing this music for you all, and how meaningful it is to have helped so many lives through the funds we raised.

We'll be back in touch soon.

Until then, God's grace, peace, and prayer be with you all,

Connections Band
(Rusty King, Brian McPherson and Eric Folkerth; Core Leaders)
